This Mama’s aim

Motherhood is one heck of a ride, boy let me tell ya. It’s sleepless nights and constant postpartum worry. You leave the hospital with this wonderful little bundle of terrifying joy that no one tells you what to do with, but you just figure it out. You kiss those tiny little lips and smell that intoxicating baby breath, it’s the BEST!

There’s so many unsaid rules and fears that nag at the back of your mind; don’t co-sleep, nothing in the crib, don’t introduce food to early, don’t give water to early or to late, no screen time, etc. It seems like everyone has their own ways of doing things, so you just find your own way as well. There were so many products and doo-dads that I needed and didn’t need or wish that I had with my first kiddo. As I’m pregnant with my second girl while my first is 19 months old, I reminisce on things I would have liked to have had and things that ended up being overkill for me.

My aim is to share my experiences and give my perspective on products that I feel are take it or leave it. What I wish I had, what I enjoyed having, and what I could have lived without. To each their own as well, there will be things that worked really well for me or didn’t work at all that people loved or hated. So take my perspective with a grain of salt if you don’t share the same feelings on the matter. If you find it helpful in the slightest though, then you found the right blog! Thank you for reading and taking your precious time as a parent to read the thoughts and recommendations of another fellow parent.
